“The experience of defeat, or more importantly the manner in which a leader reacts to it, is an essential part of what makes a winner.”
- Sir Alex Ferguson
About Me
Fitness has always been an important part of my life. As a child, I was extremely active and that continued into my teenage years when I was first introduced to weightlifting. Initially, I used lifting as a way to advance my soccer career and gain an edge on the competition. After reaching my goal of attending a D1 college to play soccer I quickly realized my fitness mindset needed to change. As I began my college career and I understood the important of functional movements and my longevity beyond soccer. During my career I suffered several bone spurs and an achilles tear that altered my playing career dramatically. Five lower leg surgeries later I am more motivated to share how functional movements have helped me continue to pursue a career in fitness. Following college, I pursued a career in health and wellness as a result of my journey. My experiences in the health and wellness industry have given me more knowledge of recovery and the human body. The wellness company I work for focuses on holistic healing backed by science. Actively promoting your body to heal itself through motion is the key to longevity.
Movement is medicine, without it we lose years of happiness and health. It is my goal to pass on my knowledge and help people continue to move and live happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives.
